Welcome to Streetlight

Streetlight Support Services is a not-for-profit, charitable organization established in 1997, and developed by 14 different agencies, led by the Metropolitan Toronto Task Force on Street Prostitution, fills the gap for people who would like to choose an alternative lifestyle and leave the streets.  In the client group we serve, we come face-to-face with victims of human trafficking – the illegal trade in human beings for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation and the second largest organized crime world-wide.  A $32 billion annual black market industry that is more than Google, Nike and Starbucks combined.

Streetlight Support Services provides an exit program for individuals wanting to leave the sex trade industry.  Streetlight uses a non-judgmental, holistic approach that recognizes the interdependence of the emotional, cultural, economic, and broader social issues that affect individuals.

We provide the following services:

– Month long workshop, for those wanting to exit

– Counseling Services

– Workshops:  empowerment, life and skills development, computer training

– Drop-in Centre

– Arts and Crafts, art therapy programs
